Welcome back seniors! I hope you have had a very relaxing summer and many thanks to all the seniors who volunteered in preparing food items for the Food Festival in helping make it a tremendous success.

Future ASL Meetings Dates - November 3, 2009 and December 1, 2009

Travel – The ASL Travel Agents have organized a group tour to visit the exhibition of Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs at the de Young Museum on November 18, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The price of bus transportation and entrance fee is $45.00. Lunch will be on your own as there are many eating places in the museum as well as across the street at the California Academy of Sciences which we recently visited. You may browse around the complex as Wednesday is a free entrance day to the California Academy. Please make reservations and send a check to Georgia Econome (916-442-4125) by October 19, 2009. This is the first time in 30 years the artifacts from the tomb of King Tut return to the de Young Museum and include a much larger collection of objects from the tombs.

A big thank you to all the senior who worked for the 2009 Food Festival. What a great team we are and a great contribution to our perish. Here’s hoping had another successful festival.
